Fronted by aptly surnamed shrieker Cam Pipes, this Vancouver bunch has almost entirely traded in deathcore growling for power-chunky pre-thrash Helloween/Accept metal. They get wholesomely demonic, slay monsters, run with pirates and a feisty "Metal Woman" -- way more catchily than, say, DragonForce. Dual guitar harmonies and an acoustic mandolin-and-flute instrumental add lots of beauty, and over-the-toppers like the shouty "Look Out" and potential Canucks theme "Leave It on the Ice" charge full speed ahead. "Storming Juno" might even get them the Canadian Grammy equivalent its name portends.
