Barney Kessel was a superior jazz guitarist who had to pay the bills like everyone else. Misleadingly titled, this finds Kessel playing, not soft bossa nova, but sizzling rockabilly guitar in front of a swaggering big band. In 1960s sex comedies, this is the kind of music that cuckoo teenagers would listen to on their transistor radios between utterings of "Like, wow!"
