Love & Meth
Label: Prospect Park
Two rabid decades into their career, the O.G.'s of nü-metal still aren't phoning it in -- "Never Never" is a self-flagellating, Tasmanian Devil-scatting semi-ballad of a single with an almost endearingly geeky chorus, and the semi-rappy "Spike In My Veins" (sounds more like "counting all the lines in my face") and semi-industrial "Mass Hysteria" grab hold just as easily. "Punishment Time" winds up mooshy but starts out semi-psychedelic, and "Lullaby for a Sadist" starts out semi-emo but turns into a counting game or playground taunt. For obligatory semi-dubstep, advance to "Victimized."
