Bags' Groove (Take 2) [feat. Milt Jackson]

Black Sheep Music
This may not have the feel of a unified LP, but its one of the best platters from Miles Davis' early 1950s period. Vibraphonist Milt Jackson joins Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins and Davis for the title tune, while a young Horace Silver sits in for most of the tunes (three of which are Rollins numbers). For revolutionary music, this sure is joyous, laidback and swinging.
