These once-occult-oriented Atlanta acid-grungers stay expansive on the second full-length, but also stay within certain perimeters: 2012's CVI had both more really long tracks and more short ones. Songs start out with disco pulse ("Time Machine"), buzz-saw attack ("The Line"), psych-dub space ("Forgive Me, Karma"), thickened Brit-pop jangle ("Glow") or music-box swirl ("One Day"), and where they wander, ebb and flow from there is anybody's guess. Mlny Parsonz seems to be indulging her inner Tina Turner more, though -- and also, in the two-part, piano-prettied "The Bear," her inner Tori Amos.
