About Sonny Landreth
This Louisiana-born singer/songwriter/guitarist came to prominence as part of John Hiatt's backup group the Goners when Hiatt was at the height of his critical acclaim in the late '80s and early '90s. Landreth's impossibly limber and atmospheric slide guitar work musically defined a lot of Hiatt's material. He has recorded some compelling solo records and is much in demand as a sideman, touring and recording with artists like Mark Knopfler and John Mayall.
