These trusty old-school metal Swedes try to sound wicked a lot, but almost inevitably wind up seeming jolly despite themselves. Melodrama gets the best of them in can't-kill-zombies-twice lesson "Back from the Grave," but wah-wah pedals and semi-classical progressions lift their odes to vengeance ("Killing Floor") and the food chain ("Shark Attack," preceded by "Overture in C Shark"!). "The Dark Passenger" is chunky psychedelia with sitar-like chords, and "Frozen" sets woe for an iced buddy to sweet, rhythmic guitar breaks. In the end, their frequently speedy, good-natured clumsiness wins out.
